Write for us

We accept a small number of guest essays from journalists, researchers and legally qualified health writers. Clinic marketing copy, AI-spun listicles and testimonial packages are declined on sight.

What we are looking for

  • Original work of at least 1,000 words, in Australian English.
  • A subject that fits a topic hub: regulation, facial, breast or body surgery, reconstruction, non-surgical care, or recovery.
  • Primary sources: legislation, Ahpra or TGA pages, peer-reviewed papers, Medicare items.
  • Language that describes risk and uncertainty. No guaranteed outcomes.

What we will not publish

  • Patient testimonials or implied reviews of a named clinician.
  • Before-and-after photographs or staged outcome claims.
  • Brand-name advertising of prescription-only injectables or unapproved devices.
  • Super-specialist ranking lists, “best surgeon in Sydney” copy, or giveaways.
  • Content that has been published elsewhere without a clear canonical plan.

How to pitch

Send a 150-word pitch, a proposed headline, and two links to published work via the contact form. Address it to the editor. If we commission the piece we will reply with a deadline, a house style note and a disclosure form.

Sponsored and guest-post links

Paid placements and guest-post campaigns are commercial. Any link that exists because someone paid for it carries rel="sponsored". We do not sell unmarked links inside clinical explainers. Hosting and partnership enquiries are handled by Worldwide Backlinks.

House style, in brief

Use “specialist plastic surgeon” only for practitioners with specialist registration in plastic surgery. Prefer “registered medical practitioner” when the title is unclear. Write “anaesthetist”, “ageing”, “specialised”, “practise” as a verb. Link internally to the relevant hub. Read the editorial standards before you draft.
